Nicely done! Really like the pose and the OOF colors in the BG, they set the hummer off very well. You caught the bird in a nice pose. The slight blur of the wings for me is just fine, lets you know the bird is flying or hovering. Thanks for sharing.

Coming from someone who had tried, I know its not easy to capture hummingbirds in flight hovering away from any perches. You did very well here. Nice detail and very lovely wing spread. Great job!! :smile:

I am not sure how much this is from the original image but I might experiment with this crop and move the hummer out of center and try some noise reduction on that wonderful background. Nice job in getting this difficult shot, some very nice colors displayed.

Nice to capture a hummer hovering. Looks like it is reasonably sharp. Background is nice, but maybe just a bit overpowering for the hummer. Since you said this was about a 50% crop, I would definitely look at a different comp to move the bird out of the center of the frame.

Nice pose and bg, Kristine. The Hummingbird is just a bit soft in the larger image. Nice light in the eye and I like the bg.

Awesome image and the busy bg actually works well for me. I agree about a re crop to move him from centered.
