Of the Yellowstone geysers,I dunno, but this one was particularly attractive to me. Imaged with a Hasselblad CM and normal lens/moderately polarized. Next time I want to check it out in winter!

Jeff,

Interesting choice in composition. I'm assuming that you intended to include the plaque at the bottom? Would certainly be easy enough to crop out for a pure nature image. Even still, I'm having a hard time reading the plaque as is.

What I do like is the line of trees and the mix of dead snags and live green. But back to the composition, I'm wishing the geyser wasn't cut off so much - it like that was sacrificed to include the sign. It works for a nice documented capture of the geyser, but at least for me I may have captured this slightly differently for a nature image to exclude the sign. And for that reason, I'm also going to move this to the Man & Nature gallery. Hope you understand and if you have any questions don't hesitate to drop a note.

I agree, I'd prefer the camera to be tilted up slightly. The pure white looks nice against the deep blue sky. I'm sure it will look really interesting in winter!
