I have to say I am finding this gallery very frustrating. The quality and sheer variety is so incredible that it is almost impossible for me to single out pics to comment on. I could do them all but I,d be here all month   There really is some great stuff. heres my little brown job!

Like the pose, detail and exposure on this John. The head turn and slight open beak make it more interesting as well.

Thanks all. Appreciate your interest. Drab little birds often take a back seat !!

Nice, John. You pushed up the DOF just right for this one and have good detail over the entire bird. Sharp. Well done all around. No bird is "drab", just poorly imaged-you've proven that. Hey wait, let me make sure you understand  ---this is NOT poorly imaged.

lovely perch, pose, and setting, John. it looks a little dark but I'm on my work monitor where things often look too dark so it is probably just me.

Just about a perfect perch and pose, hard to find much better, the head turn and plumage adds the final touch, well done.
