Agacramthus
Sony A700
Minolta 200mm macro
ISO 400, 1/2000 @ f4

Actually our first agapanthus to bloom this year. This plant was damaged by the harsh winter we had but has rebounded nicely. Not a real overt cram but I still liked the view I could get through the surrounding foliage. All comments welcome.>=))>

Nice peekaboo shot. I like the metallic sheen of the petals and the color combo. Well done, Bill.

The lighting is superb! The slight wash guides my eye to the detail at the tip of the flower and it works wonderfully in my opinion. Beautiful shot.

Excellent cram, Bill - what if its subtle. Suits this Apaganthus pretty well. I particularly like the metallic sheen to the buds.

Beautiful work Bill. Everything is good but it's your pov and dof decision that appeals most to me. Sweet light and excellent detail as well. If you hadn't mentioned the cram, I'm not really sure I'd have noticed it. Perfect...

Excellent perspective and implementation Bill. Beginning to really appreciate the possibilities with this flower thanks to you and others. One suggestion... there is a tiny light spot on the upper right hand side. Would remove it before printing. :toast:

Bill:
Nice image. The interest for me is looking at the bud and trying to work out what it would like to be when it grow up. Subtle but effective cram.

Superb viewpoint, Bill, with fascinating, almost metallic textures in the flowers which I like very much. I would not have known these were agapanthus ( no stripes - maybe they don't always have them ? ).

Bill,

Beautiful image! I love the "crescendo" effect you have captured here with the soft greens towards the bottom of the image, then clearing towards the top . Excellent!
