Not a really pleasant subject, we know.
But at the moment this is what we have. We hope we'll have more time for photography and for the forum from now on.

Thanks for looking.

Excellent detail on the fly. I wonder if it would be improved by cropping (& cloning ) out the flower on the right giving more of a square format. Also more space above the fly if you have it. Very good light & color.

Very good detail and soft light, but the background flower is taking the attention away from the fly. :wavey:

For the bug lovers this is great and I understand you comment because bugs bug many people. I also feel the oof colors on the right is a negative here.

Really nice detail on the fly - I always am facinated by the eyes of insects..
Nice DOF choice too.
He must have been very cooperative to sit still for a 1/30th !

Good to see you posting again.
Beautiful fly (only bug photographers use this term; others would find this unpleasant subject) with fabulous detail. The perch is nice. Not sure about the OOF red on the right though.

Thank you all for the kind comments. Yes, the fly was quite cooperative. It was probably resting for the night.

Great detail here. I really like the fly but agree the OOF petal on the right can be abit distracting. I would try a square crop here to cut down on the distraction and bring even more attention to your subject. :toast:
