One of the annuals on my balcony has very peculiar shaped flowers. It's English name is Bat faced Cuphea, I think I should make a frontal shot later to see why. I photographed it when the weather was still good. It is been raining for almost a week now. Very depressing in summer!

D300, Sigma180, F16, 1/80, tripod. ISO3200 (don't ask me why!) :wavey:

Excellent detail and a fine supporting bg Ellen. I might like the plane of focus a touch closer to the front but that's not really a complaint. Beautiful subject and image.

Great detail and BG Ellen. We'd be more than happy to take some of that rain off your hands. Well done image.

The background works very well with this flower. It is a very interesting subject as well. Nice color, too. Beautiful image.

Ellen:
A very beautiful portrait. The bg complements the flower nicely.
