This frame is from my first digital shoot in Mar. 2007, I happened to convert quite late. These were two of the three playful cubs, their mother was resting nearby, within sight.
Thank you so much for your kind attention & views!

Jagdeep,
Considering this was taken on a 30D (Canons first home-grown digital camera) , with tiny files and limited AF, ISO etc. it is remarkable!!

Great expressions :toast: :toast:

Hi Jagdeep,

While it could be argued that the image has "reversed" lighting (background in bright light with shaded subjects, rather than the other way around), I quite like this. Nice rim lighting on the subjects and I quite like the up-lifted (and disproportionately large) paw on the standing cub. Nice tongue too! A tad more room on the right side would be helpful (just a bit tight there), but I'm assuming that there's no more room there in the original (I can't see you intentionally taking a sliver off the cub via intentional cropping!).

Cheers...thanks for sharing this one!

Brad

This was worth the going back to process. Nice work.

Nice eye contact from both cubs and I like that you still see lots of detail in the shadows of the cubs, well done.

Love the raised paw and the tongue of the cub on the left. I switched even later, Jagdeep, in Oct 2007 in fact! I had bought a 20D earlier that year, but gave it to my elder son, while I handled the more 'professional' EOS 3 film camera! His images came out better than mine!

The backlighting is brilliant and I love the eyes, the ears and the tongue. Very beautiful portraits of these splendid creatures.
