Sorry don't know the name of this flower. I shot this in a plantar while taking a morning walk. With my tripod and camera of course. I don't have a dog so I take my camera.

Beautiful shot here, Todd. This has almost a dreamy painterly look - did you apply an Orton effect in processing? Either way, it works well here.

Todd,
I'll just echo the other comments with regard to the strong composition and color. I might do a little cloning to work out what appear to be dinged spots but I might not either. Beautiful work and image.

Todd:
I like the rich color and the DOF in this image. However, it looks a little soft to me (motion blur from the breeze??).

I really like the diffused lighting on these blooms. I also like the amount of detail & texture seen in the petals. Nice work! P.S. I hope you don't put your camera on a leash

Brain, im not sure what a Orton filter is but I guess that means I didn't add one. I forgot to put my post processing in so I will do that now. I darkened/removed detail (structure slider in Nik software) on the green leaves. Maybe thats what your refering to Gary or maybe it was the wind or my bad post processing? I also did some cloning of pollen and a bad petal in the flower to the left. So I did do some Pat just not all. I suppose if I was to print this to sell I may remove all of the extra pollen. I also gave the petals a slight boost of the structure slider to bring out the detail in the vains of the petals. I also used a diffuser. I know lots of stuff to carry on a morring walk.

Your dramatic processing adds a lot to the feeling here. I also like your decision to cut off a bit of each flower. It helps focus attention on the yellow centers.
