Great colors and sunbursts. THe BG is looking really out of whack though - a lot of artifacts (jagged edges)

Great subject and composition Shirley. Perfect plane of focus control. Very fine vision.

I'm guessing this is a crop and that the bg is looking a little splotchy because of that. I may be wrong though, I don't see noise. I'd blur the bg more because it comes across as sort of posterized looking. I wish that the subject were sharper throughout and I think you could only accomplish that with more dof. Maybe with a higher F/stop or with stacking or both. (It would help in comments, if you provided your shooting information.)

This is a good image as posted but I think it has/had the potential to be an exceptional image. Beautiful light and lots of mood in it.

On an August morning I went tromping among the weeds across from my house and spotted this dew covered blade. The rising sun hit it just right.
The background is a little off because I shot this in small format and then cropped it, so some noise showed up.

I don't have much information because I shot it with a manual lens (55mm fully extended) on a digital body.

The angled leaf, dew and sunbursts are striking. As Pat indicates, more dof for the small drops on the top of the leaf would make this an amazing image.

Good comments already made. Still the capture of the sun bursts and the comp are very good.

Shirly,

The information you just provided is helpful. Thanks for adding it. You might also tell us what model and brand of camera this is as well as what lens. No need to do it now but it does help the commentator better understand the image they're viewing.

Shirley:
Interesting comp with the leaf angling to the LUC. Nice starburst.
