Upon reflection

Autumn passage is now well underway for waders on the pools and coast around us, and this green sandpiper was from a recent outing to a site near Sandwich. I have left the reflection in, but for those who like their birds without reflections, I am also posting a greenshank in the Avian gallery.

Thanks for looking.

Looks ok to me David
"H i David
Looks OK to me ( theres only about me that has voiced a dislike of reflections I think.)
As I have said on your avian post

"Its not the reflections I don't like its the way they inhibit the cropping or framing potential , and as you have pointed out- end up smaller in the frame.

Cheers

John, it isn't just you. I often wonder if reflections add much to a photo as well. Sometimes they are very artistic and add to a composition, other times I find they add very little.

I like this very much David, a lovely clean shot, as as the water is so still, the reflection enhances the composition. However I love your Greenshank - I guess it's how these compositions are handled - and both to me, are spot on. :toast:

personally I like reflections as they can add an intrinsic artistic value which "record shots" can lack, but of course it is all a question of taste and what shot you set out for. Both your green shanks are lovely :toast: :toast:

I like the muted tones, almost sepia-like. :toast:

This looks good to me too, David. I had one of these land right next to me on saturday but didn't manage to get off a shot. I too have no problem with the reflection.

Hi David.
The reflection really adds to the image in this case in my eyes all a matter of taste it's a very good image.
