Funny how sometimes a Hare will scarper at first sight of any movement no matter how far away you are and yet other times, they come really close for a good look ? This was taken from my pop-up hide whilst waiting for Little Owls to not appear (again)

Slight crop to right of the frame to balance the image for presentation.

Would love to know the story of that hole in it's ear too.....

Good stuff ! Great impact with the size of the object in the frame. A bit more surround ,in my opinion.would work as well but you can't have it all !!
I wish we had these around here.

You got this instead of a little owl? That was a good trade-off in my opinion The detail is excellent, especially on the larger version. I would prefer a little more space on the left for the hare to look into, but no big deal.

They are funny old things these Hares aren't they? I agree with David that a sliver more space to the left would have made the image stronger. I really like that it has a battlescar / bit of a defect. We're so used to seeing perfect animals in images :toast:

Attractive portrait, Graham. My natural instincts would have been to shoot this with more depth of field, but then I might have ended up with unwanted background elements. You can tell its from Essex though; its been mugged for its ear stud
