Hole in the storm

I watched this storm develop on the way home today. After several miles of watching, this hole appeared, and I could tell that the setting sun might come down "through" the hole. While it never truly appeared that way, some light did come through the hole. 3 image merge, taken over a stunted corn field in central Kansas; exposures triggered as the oil pump paused for a sec at the top of its stroke.

Neat sky! I think it would be better w/o the white tank next to the pump, but otherwise this is great.

Terrific sky. I also like the placement of the oil pump. The sharpness of the pump makes it clear that your exposure timing is very good.

Another nice capture Rob. The rain looks like it's pouring down through the cloud hole. The pump adds scale, but I have to agree that the white tank is a distraction. Keep up the good work - central Kansas never looked better.

Fantastic sky Rob. I too agree with the others on the white tank but the pump does add to the scene.
