Aurora Borealis

Nikon D300, 50mm, F/11, 1/250, ISO 200.

This reminds me of a scene in the Arctic. Icebergs, cliffs of ice and the northern lights. What do you think, too imaginative? Comments appreciated.

Sure does justice to your imagination - one day I want to see falling icebergs in Alaska - wherever. I like the peachy pinks and the subtle V formed by the petals.

I guess so, Albert. I was only a very little kid when I saw tha Aurora Borealis. No guess that this is lovely and I am very fond of images that show a flowers edge clearly and the rest of the flower blended colors. Hope you doing well now, physically.

Albert: Love the flower and your DOF/POF choice. I might like the dark BG softened just a touch but this works very well as is. Nicely done.>=))>

Beautiful colors and textures Albert. I've never seen the actual Aurora and hope to see it in retirement. I'll settle for this until then. Superb image.

Excellent, Albert. I like the radiance you achieved emulating the northern lights.

I'm fond of the idea that you can find large worlds in small scenes, Albert, so I'm very much with you here. I think the inclusion of the green bg somehow does give that sense of an aura of light, and I also like the glimpse of yellow from the flower centre. Beautiful !!!

Yes, it does have the feel of the aurora, soft but spectacular and dynamic. I could possibly see lightening the dark greens at the top.
