Sharing the road

There aren't many paved roads in Tanzania, especially within the park boundaries of the Serengeti. However, it was common to see various animals traveling down the roads that were there. The baboons were out this particular morning heading down the highway, even though there were multiple vehicles along the way.

I thought this baby looked very unsure and frightened, clinging to mama for safety. It's natural curiosity about us strange creatures and machines was also apparent as it looked at us with wide-open eyes.

Interesting shot! That look on the youngster's face is worth a thousand words. Hope you got some wider views too. :wavey:

The combo of the face and the road details works well, Margaret. It seems like wherever we go and whatever the animal, they all think it was really nice of "strange creatures and machines" to make such great trails for their use! I can't tell you how many times I've come around a bend in the road past our home to find brown bears waddling down the exact center.
