Tree Frog on Sawgrass

Shot last weekend in Jean Lafitte NP. Wasn't sure that this should be in the macro category, but usually where I post these. This one was providing an interesting pose among the saw grass where they like to hang out at the end of the visitor center trail. I normally shoot these at the long end of the glass, but this was a bit shorter to show the environment. Early morning diffused natural light (NEVER use flash).

Delightful!
Great pose, and I especially like the silhouette through the leaves.
I'd suggest selectively darkening the bright spots (BG leaf and frog's head) just a bit.
Really nice!

Gorgeous, Bill! The light is just right, and the pose is beautiful. I love being able to see the shadow of his feet behind the leaf.

Nice comp, detail and shadow. I think the brighter OOF leaf is a little distracting though

Love the pose of this frog. Such an interesting comp with him peeking over the leaf and his body being silouetted by the light on the leaf. Great details on the frog. However, I also find the BG light green leaf strip somewhat distracting.

I like having the environment around this little guy to give perspective. Such a great "peek a boo!"
