Colorado Bighorn

Outclassed by big adult rams, this young guy was forced to stick to the outer edges of the herd during the sheep rut last year.

As always, comments & suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Great composition Guy, I love that I can't take my eyes of his eyes! If this were mine I think I might try to add a little more light to them as long as it didn't make the appearance too unnatural. Great shot though, and wonderful detail :^)

Yes, wonderful detail and very, very clear, with such a nice, clean background. Really nice.

Hi Guy,

The detail looks really good here and I like the warm, rich colours (in both the subject and the background). I think I'm in agreement with Ashely and if this image were mine I'd experiment with carefully brightening up portions of the facial region (including the eyes) just a tad. But nice to look at as posted!

Cheers...

Brad

Nice portrait of this iconic animal. How about opening shadow detail on the face a tad as Brad suggested?
