I haven’ t come round to processing any of my latest work yet, so here is one from last year. I was actually at this very same tree a few weeks back (no lions this time) and realized once more how much I prefer the summer with its lush vibrant green bush over the dead & dry winter scenery. I can’t wait for the first rains to come and transform the land again…

The one on top looks ready to trip the other or grab its tail

A fun moment in the life of the cubs captured nicely :toast:

A terrific setting n wonderful frame !!
I may prefer to burn the rock above lions and just wish that Dof was shallower.

Very cool catching them on that incredible scratching post playing follow the leader. The placement of all the elements is very pleasing. :toast:

Yeah, Vincent, I remember this as clearly as if it occurred yesterday! These cubs were waiting for their mother, and as soon as she came, down the tree they went and joined her in the tall grass.

Hey Vincent,

There's lots to like in this image - good flow, nice lines, interesting subjects, great raised tail. And...very nice "animal in habitat" shot too! My only nit pertains to the large bright rock directly above the cubs - while it could be argued it adds a nice triangular component to the composition (when combined with the 2 cubs), when I envision the image without it, I think I like the image more. Its impact on the image is mostly on the "gestalt"/"at a glance" level - easiest to see what I mean when looking at the thumbnail - when the image is studied more closely it tends to disappear a bit (and becomes mostly a part of the habitat).

By the way - get off your butt and process some of your new stuff!!

Cheers...thanks for this...

Brad
