149 Seconds of Sunset

While the high country was still too blanketed in snow to thoroughly explore, the lower portions of Glacier National Park still had plenty to offer.
This is a shot looking Northeast on Lake McDonald as the sun set to the left. I used the Lee Big Stopper to smooth out the otherwise choppy lake and also to give the few clouds a chance to move slightly, giving them more dynamic interest and making them much more important to the overall image.

A lovely scene, Jared. Love the combo of warm/cool in this image. I like the sky reflections in the smooth water surface, and warmth of the R side trees also complements well amongst the cool tones... lovely light on those trees... I could see possibly bringing the light up just a bit to highlight them a little more. The streaking clouds also look great. I like the coolish WB and overall color. Beautiful image!

The image looks tack sharp Jared and certainly has the same look and feel as some of the other shots you've shared on this sight. It looks great as presented and I could as see a slight crop on the right side. Excellent work.

The cloud color and motion are really nice and works well with the mountains and water. Congrats on your EarthShots selection today :toast:

Well done Jared. The small bush/terrain intruding below the woods is a small nit IMO, but minor.
