Old Man's Whiskers

I did take a close-up of the seedheads. I'm thinking this post kinda rounds out my 'study' of this plant. I like this image the best of the three. Suggestions, critiques, comments are welcome. Thanks for looking.

Great detail Nancy. I like your comp, (dof, pov, plane of focus) very much as well. Given the interest that the seed heads draw, I might be inclined to clone or darken out the brightest areas of the bg - at least the brightest yellow spot on the viewer's left. Very well done.

Nancy: Great subjects and a fine capture. I do think I would like a bit more DOF but OTOH more might bring in some unwelcome BG elements. Very nice series. >=))>

A fascinating trio, Nancy, all looking beautifully sharp. I rather like the coloured elements in the bg - they set up an unusual colour harmony.

A stricking image, Nancy. Those curving, red veins through the bloom captivate me. I hope you do more photos of this plant and I'd like to see the stems hair sharper.

Love this over the previous one, Nancy :toast: - great close-up letting me enjoy all the fine details. Dome of the Taj Mahal comes to mind here.

Simply outstanding. I wouldn't change a thing. Love the twirls in the seed heads.

I like the capture of the flowers but find the background a little distracting. I think it would have been better with a solid black background. Easier said than done in the field.
