Shrine Ridge

This was my first time up here in the Shrine Ridge area, and was amazed at the profusion of wildflowers. A storm began to roll in as I got near the top, producing some interesting cloud formations--I especially like the "dragon-shaped" cloud near the left side of the image. Comments and Critiques are welcome. Thanks for viewing! :wavey:

Nice blend, Good sharpness from front to back and a beautiful tableau. Just a couple nits and they are minor. The two brighter areas in the thundercloud are just teetering on the edge of too bright, and the white area on the left side midground, it's hard to tell if it's a patch of snow or a little creek. It pulls my eye down there. It seems there has been a widely varied Wildflower experience this year, boom or bust depending on the conditions. This looks like a boom in the bloom.

Wow! I am so glad I viewed this large. The wildflower colors and that massive cloud are exquisite. I loooooove this image.

Paul,

The white patch (lower left corner area) is snow. The patches of snow up here are still ten feet deep in some areas, producing little streams/creeks lined with wildflowers.

The large image does justice to the scene. Nice depth and comp.

Nice scene and it looks like you got some great drama in those clouds. I would agree with Paul about the brightness in those couple of spots, but otherwise just a fantastic image.

Looks like a great place to hike to and you encountered some really nice light. Could maybe see bringing out more texture and detail in the darker tones.

Glad you made it to Shrine, Christine--i was amazed too! Love the clouds here, great sky. The brightest highlites could use some taming here. The snow is a bit distracting too, and easily avoidable here  Pretty shot, regardless! :wavey:
