Spidery Ice

It's not often that I find ice to photograph here in central Arizona. Although we get some freezing temps, and even snow, it warms up very quickly and melts everything. On this occasion there had been some snow in Flagstaff, so we decided to take a drive north. On the way we stopped by a small stream where, in a few potholes, there was still some ice. The sun was reflecting rainbows everywhere and I started shooting the patterns. This pattern reminds me of a spider web - and maybe there was one underneath the ice [javascript:%20x()]

The rainbows are lovely but the busy streambed detracts a bit. It is an interesting pattern
