The Kiss

I rarely post over here in Flora because I usually go for the grand landscape so this kind of shooting is relatively new for me. Took this at Lower Blue Lake in the San Juans a couple weeks ago after a brief rain. Most columbine shots are "head on" so I wanted to try something from behind. I thought the way these two were touching reminded me of young lovers stealing a quick kiss.

C&C Welcome!

Phillip, first we had Stan posting in Flora this week, and now you. Always great to see beautiful wildflower images taken in natural settings. I like from behind comp. Thanks for sharing this.

Fine separation and beautiful color in this Phillip. I think columbines are hard to shoot and this image works well for me. Ideally for my tastes, you'd have avoided the clipping at the bottom but a very good looking columbine image nonetheless.

A fine post Phillip. I, like Pat would like to see the whole bloom without clipping, but, a well captured Columbine. Beautiful colors and BG separation.

Phillip:
Appropriate title and nice columbine blooms. Like Pat and Bob, wish the right bloom was not clipped.
