Bashful

It's been hot, dry, and boringly sunny here in the foothills so I thought I'd go with something a bit refreshing. This is one of a few dogwood in Yosemite shots I took from a very cold trip last May.

I was more intrigued with the blossom from beneath. I love the graceful shape of the petals and the center of the flower just peaking through.

C&Cs very much appreciated!

Really nice perspective here. Great detail in the blossom. IMO, needs more room on the bottom so the branch is not right at the edge of the frame.

The subtle light coming through the petals is really nice. I too would like to see a bit more space under that twig. The image feels slightly crowded at the bottom.

Thanks for the nice feedback! Actually I agree the branch is too close to the edge, and actually think I prefer this tighter crop giving more attention to the flower.
