Female taking an hour ago in my small pool. Still one of the most attractive birds in my view. Some may find the background messy.
D7000 Sigma 100-300mm
f8 640 ISO 120th second.
70 % of full frame
Levels. Blurred B Tit wing taken out.

BG nice and natural looking. Now that you have the red/cyan glasses and StereoPhotoMaker, I'm looking forward to the first BOAS anaglyph on UKNP. The cha-cha technique should do it.

I agree that this is a beautiful bird John. They seem quite active at the moment as well.

The stick that runs from top right towards bottom left, cutting the bird, catches my eye the most. The rest of the BKGR is fine IMHO.

I would happily settle for a blackcap of this quality, although the fern fronds in the water do jar the eye slightly.
