Found this yellow flower hanging out near some black eye susan's. Not sure if the comp works but I like the colors.

I like the colors too Todd. Seems to me that the plane of focus needed to be a little closer to the camera in this and maybe a little more dof as well. I have a bias against foreground blur unless it's so blurred that it's a wash. Seems like my eye gets caught in it and I keep coming back to it regardless of the subject. It may have to do with my eyes getting worse as I got older and my not realizing I needed glasses for a while. So now, I'm constantly checking to see if things are in focus. (smile)
I like the point of view here too.

Todd,
I would echo most of Pats comments. I would just add that I too like the perspective - one that I'm guessing most folks overlook, typically shooting in the other direction. and so I think this image has plenty of merit in terms of this often ignored viewpoint. And I think you did very well to see and capture this. The colors are excellent along with the saturation, they both look just right.

Tood, I am a big fan of images from the far side, and I really like your perspective on this. Like Pat suggested, I would like to see the foreground sharper, but I like this alot.

Todd:
I like the POV here and the echo in the bg. The bright color really grabs your attention in this image.

POV is just fine and very unique. I like the use of another same colored flower for the background as well. A bit more frontal DOF is something I'd have preferred here.
