Amboseli NP in Kenya is probably one of the best places to photograph African elephants, and this evening was no exception.
Equip: Canon 1D Mlll, Canon 500 f4
Specs: ISO 100, f 8.0, 1/8000s, beanbag on vehicle

Thank you for taking the time out to look, and for your comments/critiques.

Superb Ajit! I love the strong graphic nature of this image due to the silhouettes, which really come to their own in the larger version. The mood in this image is just perfect, really captures that 'Africa feeling' for me... Damn I have to get back there  :wavey:

Beautiful animal-scape Ajit! The sun is awesome, but I think the blowing dust is what really makes this one star out to others. It really gives the feel of the harsh conditions.

Very nice. I like it as posted and especially like the mystery created by the left elephant moving away into the darker zone. For print purposes I suspect you might want to locally increase the brightness/contrast behind the silhouettes.

Nice scene Ajit. I only have one very small nit or rather a wish and that is to see the tail of the main elephant.

Love it!! Particularly the way you have shot it from far away enough to make the elephants small but get the full impact of the sun. Very atmospheric and special image - well captured

OK, now I'm jealous of you Ajit :^p

Seriously, this is a fabulous picture, a dream shot for any wildlife photographer! While I'm certainly not complaining about the number of opportunities and images I returned with from South Africa, I soon realised that settings and captures like these are virtually impossible in the Kruger.

Many thanks for sharing this beautiful picture Ajit, and very much looking forward to seeing more of your work :^)
