Great tit at pool
For David and anyone else with glasses !!
This is the hard way !! Done with one camera. Take the first pic, hope the subject stops static and move ther camera about 5 inches to the right focus on the same pspot on the bird and hope for the best.
This one took all after noon but I'll get there eventually. Flowers and scenery are a doddle and the results are spectacular even when printed. Spent all today doing Poison arrow frogs which are easy as they tend to stay still. Thanks to David for revitalising my interest in photography. I am sure this is the future.
D7000 Sigma 100-300
Processed in SPM which is a great programme and free !

Congratulations John. The First BOAS anaglyph on UKNP. :wavey:   Excellent depth to the image as viewed by through my red/cyan cheapo glasses. It's taken 150 years but 3D will really take off. Have you seen the new Sony binoculars?

Capable of recording 3D video as you view.

Keep those anaglyphs coming, I was feeling a bit lonely in the gallery.

Talk about doing things the hard way John... as you are starting with two separate images perhaps you could post a stereo pair? that way many, not all, will be able to see the effect... I am sure that this is a challenge... I have to produce stereo pairs of a dinosaur brain case next week...

Hi Phil
Not the hard way for me mate !- the programme does all the work . I can't use two cameras so getting the two shots to be exactly in sync would not be that easy. The bird shot was a bit of a trial and is almost impossible, but the flowers, landscapes and static objects as anaglyphs are spectacular, and stereo pairs would be no good for my lecture audiences or when I put the prints on display at shows etc.
All I need to do is stick some glasses on the table.!
I wonder how many of the 236 ( now more than twice that) people who viewed the pic above had glasses ???
Cheers
John- love to Fran.
