Hope you're not tired of Grand Canyon shots yet. This was the precursor to my "Evening Thunderstorm" shot, taken about 15 minutes earlier. It was one of those evenings that just kept getting better! The play of light and the falling rain was mesmerizing to watch!
C&C Welcome!

Wow, what a neat shot Phillip. The sweeping band of rain is so nice, and then the great light tops it off. Fantastic.

Sounds like a tremendously productive trip with epic light. This is an excellent addition and is wonderfully composed and processed. I like the nice contrast between the highlight and shadow areas and you retained just enough detail in the foreground to give this some nice depth. You also have some nice diagonal lines here. I like seeing the mountains along the horizon too.

Wow, tremendous light that just kept going and going. It's an awesome series so far, with the EP shot being the favorite. But this is pretty awesome too, as well as the middle post. Amazing!

Even taking into consideration my healthy appreciation for lightning strikes, this photo blows the other one totally out of the water. The light here is glorious, unexpected, and almost beyond understanding. The detail in the nearest ridge is excellently presented, and the extreme highlights in the sky are handled very well. Well done.

Neat shot! Without your say so, this could be many locations in the 4 corners area. The flow of the light and the shadows cast by the buttes is amazing and then you throw in the falling rain. Truey spectacular.
