Does Avalanche have an "e", I can't remember.

Shot this while hiking with fellow NPN'er Ken Smith and a local photo club com padre last weekend. The LRC is problematic compositionally and I played with cropping out the grass there but it threw it off balance IMO. I could clone it out but then there's a large empty space, so I'm leaving it alone. Thanks for looking.

The blooms are so good they almost look artificial   - superb background management as well. Looks all nice to me, Bruce !!!

It's a beautiful image Bruce. Love the color in it and your dof decision and comp. I suppose the LRC is a little problematic but I'm not sure about that. I suppose you could do a slight vignette here or vignette and blur, if it really bothers you. I like the mood of this very much.

Beautiful shot! Love that the flowers are all in sharp focus and the background is wonderful. What would you think of a 10% crop off the top? :toast:

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I cropped a little off the top and applied a bold vignette. Improved?....I think so.

Bruce:
REally beautiful flowers and the exposure of the white is spot on. Like the DOF choice too. The repost elegantly took care of the LRC and the slight crop makes this stronger.

Excellent image of these AL. Nothing like wildflowers in a natural setting. This has the look of woodland flowers, although I know they're not. Three is always the perfect number, and I like the separation of the beautiful white ALs from the soft greenBG. I do prefer the repost comp, although I might reduce the vignette. Excellent image.

Bruce: The repost really spiffs up this already excellent shot. In a perfect world the two upper flowers wouldn't be merged but I give it an A+ anyway. Well done.>=))>

Hi Bruce, good to what you were capturing last week! Nicely done! Background really adds to the appeal. I prefer the repost. I don't know what you think of this...but, application of a slight Counter Clock rotation wouldn't bother me as long as the left stem did not get shorter.
