Shackleford Banks AM

This is sunrise this past weekend at Shackleford Banks, NC near Cape Lookout. At low tide & the wind was virtually calm - not a condition you see very much. I went out for a sunrise shot & the clouds didn't hold much promise. There was just enough break for about 1 minute where it peaked through & gave some really warm color to the foreground.

Canon 5Dii - 16-35mm at 25mm, two shot blend for dynamic range, f18, ISO 160

I really like the mood in this image. The foreground reflection, the sun peaking through the clouds and the coloring in the clouds make the image for me.

Can't argue with this one. Peaceful and serene. Well done!

Neat light and nice conditions. I find the two branches and their reflections on the left the most appealing. The shapes on the right are a bit cluttered feeling.

I like the moodiness Wick. Perhaps lightening the clouds and darkening the reflection would help. I can also envision a crop and clone to clean up the right side a bit. I am surprised this doesn't have more comments - as you have a captured a very nice sense of depth and place.
