Cute Cubs

I had a dream come true. When I looked into the viewfinder, the landscape had changed, then looked through the telephoto lens, I discovered that my subjects too changed. I was in Masai Mara, Kenya. And these cute cubs, may be 4 - 5 week old, were shot with a big smile.
Although, conditions were not very good, as it used to rain heavily, every evening, my output was reduced to 50% but I had my share of frames.
Thank you so much for your kind attention & views !

Jagdeep,

This is marvelous, it is always nice to see such young cubs (confirmed by the eye colour). I'll bet you were thrilled, I always am :toast: :toast: :toast:

Very cute Jagdeep. I can just imagine you with a big smile behind your camera  . The super low angle makes this very intimate (how did you achieve this, were you crawling?) and the catch lights in those big eyes are strong focal points and draw in any viewer. You did not mention if this is FF or not, but I would have preferred a tiny bit more room at the bottom and perhaps a little left and right.

Beautiful image Jagdeep! I really like that one cub is in a different posture than the other, and they both have a great curious look about them. Congrats!

Jagdeep:
Congrat on your trip to Masai Mara. I bet you enjoyed it thoroughly. I have only done it once and that was the most memorable trip we had.

Love these cubs with their inquisitive eyes. Good eye contact. Just a small suggestion about perhaps cropping away the small sprig of grass above the head of the right cub.

What a wonderful image Jagdeep. Who could not fall in love with these adorable cubs. You have captured them in a fabulous pose. They seem to be posing so sweetly for your camera. I can't wait to see more of your images from Kenya.

Wonderful image Jagdeep! The low, low angle really makes this and the intimate feel it gives goes great with the lion cubs as subjects. Very well done. :toast:

Welcome back, Jagdeep! Glad you had a good time. Unfortunate that it rained; it usually does not in August. Looking forward to seeing more!

Thanks friends!
Vincent, this is about 90% of the frame,at times I love tight shooting. It was the lowest angle I could get from the vehicle. I couldn't crawl, as the lioness was right there, any way, I used to crawl, ages ago.
Thanks for the small-small inputs, they are very helpful !

Very nice! Love the low angle and the eye contact. The soft light really brings out the warm colors in the cubs.

Jagdeep I like the low angle you achieved here. Even in the low light you managed to get a great image. The cubs are super cute and I can imagine your excitement.

Very nice!

WOW! That is just awesome! It looks you had some great light to work with, it's nice to have catchlight in both the cubs eyes. Great detail in their fur, you chose a really nice DOF! They sure gave you some nice poses. I really wish this was my image!
