WC 497 - M. Rocks Window

Same window as my last post. However, this was taken the morning after my last post, and from behind the rock formation. I used an ultrawide lens to capture the scene, providing an unusual photograph from a well photographed location. The formations seen through the window are the less often photographed formations of Monument Rocks NNL. I actually prefer the other formations under most conditions. 7D, f/11, 1/100, ISO 200, 10mm

Nice! I love the view through the opening, and the fact that there's an echo of sky outside the "window". We get to see the fragility of the structure, and also get a sense of place. Beautiful!

Druidish. This reminds me of stonehenge. Your window has a lot of character. It has a kind of dynamic, contorting optical illusion thing going. I like it.

Beautiful shot Rob, I like the perspective and the nice warm light.

Lovely shot. I really enjoy the lighting and how that vast prairie sky dwarfs the monuments on the horizon. This belongs in a visit Kansas brochure.
