Chinese Dogwood

My Chinese Dogwood apparently doesn't realize that its already bloomed this year, but lo and behold, two flowers are in full bloom this week. I was so intrigued by the curvy petals on this particular flower but I wasn't sure how I wanted to process it.

David, after I looked at your Orchid Painting, you inspired me to once again try Snap Art. I used the Oil Painting-Landscape Small Brush and then chose Natural Fiber. I'm very happy with the depth of texture, but it's the petals that I just love.

I appreciate your comments. Now I'm going to batten down the hatches and watch the weather reports for Hurricane Irene. I'm in Western North Carolina, but you just never know. Thanks for taking a view of my image.

The thumbnail just does not do this justice Barbara. I agree the petals are really wonderful. Nice painting. Be safe.

David, thanks for your comments. I've really enjoyed working with Snap Art. I think the processing worked very well on this image. There are so many choices in Snap Art that I need to just spend more time to see what the options will do to an image. Thanks for taking a look.
