This was a leaf on top of some fresh water shells I seen while walking along a local river. adjustments made in Nik software.

Nicely composed with the leaf in corner pointing towards the larger area of photo. I like the contrast...both shape and color. My only thought is the leaf looks a tad flat...well, it is flat, of course. I like a little more curl dimension. Well seen and captured.

Todd: A fine find and a very pleasing image. Solid comp and I like the subtle colors in the shells. Very nicely done.>=))>

Love the contrast in color and texture between the subject and the ground Todd. Well seen and well presented. Very interesting.

Beautiful leaf glistening with drops of water, Todd. Great color in the leaf.

All is in focus and I assume that at f/22 that was your intent.

I might have been tempted to focus on the leaf with a very shallow DOF so the fresh water shells would be more OOF.

Regards,

Carol

I like the color contrasts between leaf and shells. Nice presentation, Todd. But I can't figure what the color at the top of the leaf is from, whether its bleeding from the leaf onto the shells or a color reflection.

Don't recall anyone using Mussels as the backdrop on Flora forum yet (unless I missed one). I like that angular placement for the leaf. A Polarizer might have cut the glare out of the leaf which I find a little distracting.
