Mark's Plumeria #2

Morning, folks,

Thanks for your comments on original version of Mark's Plumeria.

This image was actually the third in a series and was taken approximately 15 hours later and from a slightly different position.

It's a stack of 10 images taken at f/3, i/320s, ISO 100, spot meter, +1 EV.

I'm especially pleased with the soft background with the V echoing the diagonal lines of the stems.

I think the differences in f/stops, light metering, and time of day have contributed to making this image more successful, and I'm looking forward to your reactions.

Thanks for viewing and commenting.

:wavey:

Regards,

Carol

Very nice stack work, Carol. I also like the shallow dof, the diagonal bg form. The flower is exposed very well, but I'd like to see a bit more luminescence in the large bud. The previous post was just right in that regard. Also, maybe if you could make a little more space on the left side and/or remove some on the right it would balance the image better. But then that's personal taste.

Carol, I like the comp in this image (particularly the BG) more than the first, but I think preferred the tones in the first a little more. Overall, I prefer this version. Nice work on the stack. Maybe you could try warming this one just a bit.

Carol,

As far as I'm concerned, this is beautiful as posted. No suggestions. Beautiful light and mood.

Nice work Carol. Beautiful handling of the whites and that yellow center is hot! A little more room on the left might serve well but it's a minor thing and purely subjective. :toast:

Carol:
This is better than the previous in IMO. The POV is more interesting and the stack on the bloom is nicely done.

I really like the light on this! I think Waynes suggestions have merit, but I do like the tension your comp creates also. Nice!

Carol: I like this one much better than the original. Here the BG is a real complement while the capture of the flowers is still excellent. 2 thumbs up! >=))>
