This photograph was taken at the Haceta Head Lighthouse. It is a 3 frame HDR processed in Photomatrix Pro 4. The image was captured with a Nikon D700 and a Nikkor 24-70 VR f/2.8 lens. The average exposed frame was ISO 200, f/9, 1/1000 sec. at 45mm. No filters were used.

Ray,

What a lovely coastal scene - I would even go so far as to say "picture postcard." Great image to showcase the colors with "R"ed, "G"reen, and "B"blue... ;-) Compositionally this is great too, although I am wishing for a little more room on the right to give the house a little breathing room. Otherwise, this is wonderful.

I'm sure a little oversight, but after posting my comment I'm going to move this to the Man & Nature Gallery. The house is quite important as a main element and the Landscape Gallery is without the "hand of man." Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for posting and don't be shy about posting some comments as well.

Lovely scene. I like the inclusion of the blue sky and the whisp of remaining fog above the trees. Like Lon, I also wish there were a bit more room on the right side, but of course, I don't know if there was something there that may not have been photogenic, so this comp will do just fine.
