Caracara pair

Here's a shot from a weekend ago. This pair of Caracaras had been flying around all morning. They ended up coming right to me but from the wrong direction to get a flight shot. However, they landed together on this perch in decent light. I was very happy to get the pair together. Please view the larger version for max. detail.

Superb job on the exposure, Ron. The detail in the larger post is great. I really like the poses you have captured with both birds looking the same direction, giving you nice eye contact with both. I know you are not a big fan of cloning, but I would be tempted to clone out the branch in bottom left. I do not think it would hurt the composition and it does pull me away from the main subjects a bit. Overall all an awesome image.

Wonderful image Ron. How fortunate you were to capture two Caracaras. I like the fact that they are both looking in the same direction. It makes me wonder what they're looking at. Really nice.

Great job getting both of these birds sharp Ron. I like the position of them in the frame and very nice techs as usual.

I love this Ron!!! The birds are so perfectly posed and the excellent perch, it almost appears staged. Spectacular exposure, detail, sharpness. The only little nit from me might be that the composition could possibly use a touch more room at the bottom. Nothing wrong with the comp as is, just might be a bit more esthetic with more perch below the subjects, hardly a nit at all really.

Perched birds - how unusual! At least with your name on the shot! Nice quality, as expected. But definitely not as exciting as your usual subjects even though these are neat birds.

Superb as usual Ron. Great detail on both of these. It's interesting to note the differences between the two birds with their faces and leg coloring. Does this indicate male - female? Nice job on exposure with the whites. Lighting looks to be nice and soft. Terrific Ron! :toast:

Hello Ron.
The composition and the way the birds stare in the same direction makes this a great image for me.

Ron, One of my favorite birds or should I say (two of my favorite birds). Great job on the exposure and capture. I'd evict the one stick if it were mine. Awesome!
