Nice composition and I love how the green is such a shock against the bland colors of the grass and BG

It would help to know where this was taken, Sandy. Just a stab in the dark it may be an Arizona Hairstreak. They are found in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas south to Mexico.. Wonderful composition with the grass and great background. A bug person has got to like this one.

This is excellent Sandy, I like everything about it..The kind of image that makes me lament the very poor showing of b-flies this year. I've shot the small hairstreak many times over the years, but I've only seen this green variation on a few rare occasions.
Anyway, on a scale of 1-10, a very solid "10"

I like the perch and the BG is perfect. The color of the butterfly and the BG work well together. Nice job!

I think that the subtle colors make this a difficult subject to get good detail - but you have succeeded admirably. Helped by the light BG & perch which do not compete with it.

Fine background, unusual perch, great colors on the subject. What's not to like?
Only nit is that I might try cropping it a little bit more tightly. But as I said, minor...

I really like this image. The great detail, the color, the background and the perch really set the butterfly off. Great image.

THIS is really seen and captured Sandy. Of course the butterfly and colors are purrrrfect, but for me what really adds to make this such a beauty is the clean simplicity including the grass and very complimentary OOF BG. It all comes together sooooo nicely! Very well done, and "Congrat's" on receiving the WP!

Hey Sandy, the comp on this is simply perfect and the green wings add just the right amount of color to the warm brown BG. Congrats on the WP!
