Canon 1D Mark 4 With EF 500mm f4.0 & 1.4 tc

A seagull had abandoned this crab after doing battle with it and the plover discovered it like a $100 dollar bill laying on the sidewalk. "One Bird Gathers What Another One Spills"! Thanks for looking and commenting.

This is very nice, especially with the crab and still some breeding colours remaining. Love the angle of view, too. Well done!

Nice detail and exposure. I'm not a fan of these grossly out of focus foregrounds from such low shooting positions, though.

Really nice image Michael. Both subjects are nice and sharp and the bg is pleasing. I'm with Richard on foregrounds like this, though. Sharon

Mike, I do like the low angle, but feel the amount of OFF FG on the large side. I would be tempted to crop a third of the OOF BG and add a bit to the top. The bird is nice sharp and your exposure looks right on.

I actually like the OOF foreground. Gives the image the feel of being suspended in water. The details on the bird and the crab are great. Nifty cleanup bird.

Hello Michael,

Nice photo! I especially like the low camara position and the combination with the crab.

Good low angle and the crab adds a fun element to the image as well as a pop of color.

Great sharpness and details Michael, well exposed. Like the blues of the BG too.
I'm on the fence with regard to the OOF FG..Probably wouldn't bother as much if the left foot was visible, and there was less bottom?
Still a fine shot as posted :toast:
