Uganda, Ishasha area.
The sun was setting and it gave the savannah the lovely golden glow.
I photographed this lonely male Ugandan Kob through the high grass.

Would love to hear whether the grass in the foreground is bothering you or not.

Thx for looking
Jef

The grass gives such great environmental feel to your excellent image. Though we are supposed to suggest ways to improve an image I wouldn't change a thing.

The setting sun gives this an almost sepia appearance. I would like to see slightly more room at the bottom, I don't mind the grass at the bottom.

I don't mind the grass. I like the overall "hazy" feel to the image, though slightly more definition in the antelope would've been ideal.

I like the effect, yet I think you can make him stand out a little more with some contrast boost to just the subject. Nice comp.

No problem with the grass at the bottom. I like the mood, just wish for a little more definition of the animal.

I like the mood of the photo as well as the framing by the trees.
I would like to have a little more detail separation between the Kob and it's environ.

Hi Jeffry,

Interesting capture. I don't mind the grasses at the bottom or the "subtleness" of the main subject (I don't think it needs to stand out any more). However, compared to the subject, I find the trees on either side of the frame a bit over-powering (and thus somewhat distracting). I find the bush directly behind the subject nice and subdued and wish the other parts of the background were at about the same level of contrast or visual strength.

Cheers...

Brad

I'm leaning with Brad......although I must confess I do like the look. Maybe lightening the FG a hair and a touch more contrast......not much as it will spoil the mood! Very well seen and executed!
