One of my best friends is an LSU grad and is in the throes of getting fired up about football season. Shot this water lily with his school colors Saturday at the Mercer Arboretum. The water flowers don't seem to mind the heat. All comments welcome. >=))>

Bill, I am graduate of LSU myself, so I am very happy to be the first to comment on this beautiful lily with the bold purple and gold colors up front, pushing the green (of Oregon) into the BG (sorry Oregon grads/fans).

Geaux Tigers. Now I just have to find a scarlet and gray image for my other alma mater.

I don't think it gets any better than this, Bill. Superb yellows on purples and killer details. Tough not to make good photos out of Water Lilies.

This is excellent Bill. I've had the pleasure of shooting the same variety of lily and love the brilliant colors. Your larger photo is outstanding with really good DOF and texture of the petals. Very well done!
