During a recent trip to RMNP we were hiking past Iris Lake and this scene just popped out to me. As always comments and suggestions are very welcome.

Just a great composition with flowers distinct and beautiful supporting background.

Walt,

Beautiful image. The only thing I might consider is a crop down below the shoreline in the bg. This is purely subjective but if the trees and sky are included in the shot, I prefer them in focus. The crop addresses that but also better emphasizes the subject bloom. Again - this is subjective on my part.

Great eyes on your part to catch this beautiful image. I agree with Pat S. suggestion to consider cropping from the top down to below the shoreline. This eliminates the bright sky and clouds that otherwise draw attention from the blooms. Still a nice photo as captured.

I'll third the crop suggestions Walt, but I think your vision here is top shelf. Great work.

Thanks for all the wonderful suggestions. I will try the crop out and repost if I can figure out how to do it.

I love the very peaceful atmosphere with all blue and green. The foreground adds a great depth.
Take care.
