Red Leaf on Pine

Evening all! I can't wait for autumn to slowly drag itself into the deep south - usually happens around mid-November. Until then, I'll have to be happy digging through older images.

This one is simple enough (I very seldom do this, but yes, I placed the leaf there). I found it livened up the scene somewhat.

Larger version available as well for better detail.

D2x w/ 28-70 @ 65mm
.6 sec. @ f/11 - MLU and mc-30 remote release
100 ISO
Singh Ray circular polarizer
Tripod
Capture One 6, CS4, TK's actions

Your thoughts will be very much appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Great detail with just the right splash of color Bill. Man made or not, I like the comp. Good job.

Bill: Flag on the play for false start. Much too early for fall shots  Your penalty is to send me the RAW file and all rights. Excellent arrangement and comp and for me the light is the real star of the show along with the marvelous textures in the bark. Exceptionally well done.>=))>

I really like this shot, Bill! The detail in this is fantastic and I like your comp with the leaf. Also the textures in this are wonderful.

Beautiful work Bill. Edge to edge sharpness and very fine detail. I'd certainly put it on my wall.

Terrific comp and great details. I also like the color spectrum. My favorite part is that I find it very disorienting, I don't know whether to lay down, stand on my head, or keep sitting while I'm looking at it.
