Elephant cow waiving to a giraffe on the other end of the water. Or maybe that was just my imagination

.
I had been working for about half an hour on post-processing this image and when I thought I was done and happy with it I was surprised how long it had taken me. When I started with the original I figured it did not need much work. I compared it to the original capture (as I saw it on the back of my camera screen when I captured it) and was surprised to find out I liked that one better! Hmmm, perhaps a realisation that (extensive) post-processing is not always required if an image is already to your liking.
So here is the original, straight from the camera, totally unaltered (except for a slight rotation correction) image as shot.

After reading your commentary, I was just thinking that sometimes, knowledge makes things complex.

Yep, it's a real wall-hanger - No doubt about it. No sharpening required either
