Hi Brigitte. Lovely flower and I like the DOF you have chosen here. It looks like your focus point is on the front flower pedal and it might have looked more comfortable to me on the center of the flower. I also love the BG colors reflecting the flower color but I think I would choose a shooting direction where the similar colors are separated a bit from the flower. That would allow the flower to stand out a little more.

Love the soft background. Just a slight different angle on the flower to separate it from similar color in background would have helped. Thank you for sharing. Bud

Background is what struck me so nicely here, Brigitte. I like the precise focus for the petal edge also. I can perhaps assume that your next shot will have the focus on the center of the Cosmos as well

Brigitte,

I would normally prefer that the flower be better separated from the bg but in this case for whatever reason, it works for me. This is beautiful and I love the mood of it.

Brigitte:
This is a little different - focus on the petal instead of the center. Works well though. Like the bg. Nicely done.

Very nice Brigitte. I love the palette and the BG. The placement of point of focus is interesting - not sure if I like it or not. I am leaning toward 'yes'...

Beautiful and dreamy, Brigitte, beautiful colors. I might try a square crop for this one.

I love this flower Brigitte and you show it in its best attitude: flying on its large petals.
Take care.

Brigitte: Intriguing comp with the POF on the petal and not the center. The BG is wonderful. Well seen and superbly captured and presented. >=))>

I like your focus choice! I think that the most interesting part of these blooms are their petals and not the center and you highlighted that wonderfully. Beautiful color palette as always!
