Barn Owl from last year, this was one of 3 birds that had taken up residency on a farm close to the east coast.

1/320th @ f5.6 iso1000 ( 80% of FF, wild bird )

Thanks for the feedback on my Corn Bunting and thanks for looking.

There are more shots on my blog for those who may care to take a look.

superb Andy. I'd be tempted to lighten the eye slightly (maybe just dodge the catchlight a little) to show off the catchlight a bit more. Otherwise a lovely shot.

I agree about the eye, and might also slightly darken the feathers on the top of the head. Still a lovely shot of a beautiful bird.

Excellent exposure on the whites. My only tiny nit is the fence dominance but you can't do much about that

Thanks for the feedback guys and gals, it's very much appreciated :toast:

I think you're right about the eye Matt, but I'm always scared of going too far with the Dodge tool, if not used correctly it can make a catchlight look unnatural and spoil an image; thats another PS tool I'm going to have to brush up on

Hi Andy.
Recon you have got this about how it should be the facial disc on these birds can shadow the eyes a bit but the catchlite you have got looks about right to me,great looking image.
