Fox Cub

by Graham Goddard

Gallery: Regional: UKNPPosted September 10, 2011127 views7 comments
Taken at the beginning of my fox project this year, in difficult lighting conditions - contending with very bright spots and deep shade where I was watching her play.

Image is FF.

1D MKIII, 500 @ f4, iso800, -.67, 1/100, bag hide, camo netting, patience.

As soon as the image opens you are drawn straight to the gaze of the cub, the eye contact really grabs you and makes for a very appealing image. Top shot, Graham and no nits from me.

Great image, love the eyes of the fox.
Exposure well done considering the conditions.
The head and eyes are a little to much centered to my taste.

Thx for posting
Hope your fox project goes well.

Terrific shot. I like the little details and the stare of course. I think the fox could be lightened a bit but it's really great. (Incidentally, the small version sharpening isn't as nice as the large version.)
