Raggedy Ann among Iris

Shot this ragged wing dragonfly hanging on a nicely slanting iris leaf and thought of how many of these insects are showing wear from an active summer. It won't be long until I'll miss these ample subjects of summer,

This is in photo art because of some slight filter treatments and significant cloning of distracting water reflections.

Comments and critique will be appreciated as always.

I like the DF's pose as it hangs from the lighter/thinner iris leaf, it's well positioned in the frame Charlie.
Nice diagonals across the frame too.. This one looks like its been around awhile, and near the end of its lifespan.
But thanks to you, a bit of immortality is gained wouldn't you say? :wavey:

Charlie:
A nice DF shot eventhough the subject looks a little worse for wear. Well this is real life, we all grow old, get sick and died.

Neat shot! I like the ragged DF and all of the diagonals from the grasses. I'm always amazed as some of the ragged Butterflies and Dragonflies late in their life cycles and think it's terrific to tell the story about their resilience.

Raggedy Ann for sure, Charlie. Neat idea purposefully posting a beaten up specimen rather than a perfect one. Funny how the raggedy nature communicates real-life while the bg appears somehow strange. Startling contrast.
