Sorry to post twice but I just had to show off the 60mp Blad.
No, I don't own it yet, but it sure produces some killer prints! I had the luxury of shooting with it for a week and have mixed feelings about it.

The Blad is a little clunky and its electronics seem way behind our DSLR's but the resolution is outstanding, especially when stitching. But to tell you the truth our top DSLR's today have a lot of advantages too. Great at high ISO (the MF backs are terrible in comparison) and they shoot very finessed and fast. A case for both options. Plus I put my camera (and often myself) in a lot of somewhat dangerous situations, and the last thing you want is your $45,000 going down the river or off the cliff!

I have trouble as a Scot descendant spending more for a camera than I would for a car! Good to see a shot of your face in case I ever run across you in the field. Well, that's not really likely since you go places I wouldn't dream of. Keep up the amazing images.

Hi Morris.
Don't let the photo fool you... I'm not ready (at least yet) to dump that kind of moolah (over $40,000) on a somewhat clunky camera. It shoots totally high rez but for the style I gravitate toward I think it lacks in some critical areas. Even if I did (or do) dump that kind of money into the camera I still think I might shoot DSLR over 80% of the time (long exposures, higher ISO to prevent camera shake in windy conditions, and putting my camera at high risk quite often in wet conditions like rivers/waterfalls or the ocean waves crashing...).
As far as seeing me in the field... you will. I don't just hang in the danger zone (most clients are not into that so much). Wherever it is beautiful (as with yourself) that's where I want to be... See you out there and keep up your great work too!

Hi Mark--nice photo of you and your buddy the Blad. Good to hear your honest 'review' too--my mkii and glass makes me overly cautious to begin with, if i had a 40K clam camera to lug around id probably be confined to walks around the park...
