Really nice environment, good lighting, and great nuthatch pose. If you have it I would put back a bit of space on top and to the left so as not to come so close to the perch. At both posted sizes I don't really see the noise you alluded to. Looks great to me.

Not enough noise to bother me, John. Great perch and framing and beautiful light.

Delightful! Excellent colours, pose, and BG. Love the stump and bits of greenery.
I might suggest moving him down in the frame a bit (if you have that option) so the top of that interesting stump is not cut off.
Really nice!

Beautiful capture John, though have to agree with the others regarding the unfortunate edge clippings.

Thanks for your comments. Here,s a repost with all the perch in. It seems to have taken the bird a little to the centre which is why I cropped the original, That little bit on the back of the perch could go I suppose !

Very nice exposure. I like the repost including the entire perch. IMO the inclusion fo the entire perch makes the more centered location of the NH OK. The repost seems a bit softer than the original

John, I really like the pose on this one. I like how the bird is framed between the perch and the pine needles. Really nice detail and color also! BTW, I think the original crop works better. Good decision IMO

Thanks again.
Just realised I didn't give the repost any sharpening which I usually do when I downsize for the site.

Excellent shot John, I like the original as posted. I really like the overall composition, the larger image has good detail and colors, nice job in getting this, way to go.
